Privacy Policy

SurveyCam is a field-documentation camera for photos, videos, GPS and timestamp overlays, notes, project folders, and PDF proof reports. This policy explains how the app handles those records and the limited data processed when you use optional advertising or subscription features.
Your field records stay on your device
SurveyCam stores captured photos, videos, notes, project assignments, templates, and generated reports locally on your device. SurveyCam does not upload this captured media to the developer's servers. Your files leave the device only when you choose to share, export, or back them up using another app or service.
Camera, location, and device permissions
The app uses camera, microphone, location, storage/media, notification, and foreground-service access only when needed for its capture and processing features. Location can be used to add GPS, address, altitude, and direction details to your media. A recent GPS location may also be used to determine an approximate country for rewarded-ad availability. This market check currently enables rewarded-ad access only when India can be confirmed.
You can deny or revoke permissions through Android settings, although the related feature may then be unavailable.
Optional rewarded advertising
SurveyCam offers optional Google AdMob rewarded ads for access to certain premium features. Watching an ad is your choice; you can decline and use the available subscription option instead. SurveyCam Pro subscribers receive premium access without rewarded ads.
When an ad is requested or shown, the Google Mobile Ads SDK may automatically collect or share approximate location derived from an IP address, app interactions, diagnostics, and device or other identifiers. Google may use this information for advertising or marketing, analytics, and fraud prevention, security, and compliance. Advertising data is encrypted in transit. SurveyCam's captured photos and videos are not supplied to Google for advertising.
Advertising consent
SurveyCam uses Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP). Where required, UMP presents consent choices before an ad request and allows you to consent, decline, or manage available options. If consent or another lawful basis required for an ad is unavailable, SurveyCam does not request that ad.
Subscriptions and purchase verification
Google Play processes subscription purchases, payment details, and restoration. SurveyCam does not receive your full payment-card information. To verify Pro access, the app may send a Google Play purchase token and related product or subscription identifiers to SurveyCam's secure entitlement-verification service. This verification does not upload your captured photos or videos.
Sharing and third-party services
If you share media or reports, the destination you select has its own privacy practices. SurveyCam currently integrates Google AdMob, Google User Messaging Platform, and Google Play Billing. Google's handling of information is governed by the Google Privacy Policy.
Retention and your controls
You control locally stored SurveyCam records and can delete them from your device. Google and other services you deliberately share with apply their own retention policies. You can decline rewarded ads, manage Android permissions, cancel a subscription through Google Play, or contact us with a privacy question.
Children's privacy
SurveyCam is not intended for children under 13 years of age.
Policy changes
We may update this policy when SurveyCam's features, service providers, or data practices change. The effective date above shows the latest revision.
